Pure opinion. Don’t get mad. This list will offend at some point. If you want further explanation, I’ll be glad to discuss.
- Skyfall. Not a Bond movie.
- The Dark Knight. The shortest television series I’ve seen. One episodic moment after the next. Not Batman’s movie. One completely fortunate event taking place after another.
- Interstellar. Dumb
- Inception. 40+ minutes of pure explanation. Trying too hard to be smart
- Citizen Kane. For its time, maybe… But it doesn’t hold up.
- Slumdog Millionaire. I remember not liking it.
- Tree of Life. So God is a screensaver?
- Crash. White man’s perspective on racism. Melodrama-galore
- The Hurt Locker. Makes my eyes bleed
- American Sniper. Read the book and let the disappointment after seeing movie just wash over you.
- Star Wars. Yep. I said it. Not exactly for the movie itself, but for the unrepentant horde of geekdom that has plagued our culture. Plus, the additive effect of turning the film industry into a town full of tentpole addicts. Bring back the 70s, baby! But, I shall concede that a movie about Boba Fett would be badass.
- Blade Runner. Please explain to me what happens.
- 2001: A Space Odyssey. Zzzzzzz
- Schindler’s List. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAKS3rdYTpI)
- Lord of the Rings. Zzzzzz
