It’s fun writing characters who are so certain in their worldview, so certain of who they are as people, that when something happens that goes against those beliefs, they are surprised and don’t know how to respond. Characters those biases are fun to write. Makes them human.

Writing this book has made me so much more aware of myself, how I perceive the world, and my own biases. In effect, each character is an examination of one aspect of your personality. So the natural byproduct would be this awareness.
