The dialogue is getting better. The characters are saying things without saying. The subtext is taking shape. Dialogue is a weakness that has sucked less. This is good.

A separate thought: If I have all this confidence in how well the book is shaping up… and then it’s finished… and then it sucks. That would be funny. Spend years thinking you’re doing well and then it ends up as a catastrophic failure.
