Debating whether to eliminate one component of a passage for sake of ease. There is an element I want in a scene but I might not want it there because it might be too much (in terms of getting in the way of the pacing). The conflict just might work though. It can add another layer of complexity. Wondering whether I don’t want it to make it easier for myself, or it is actually appropriate and I’m just not seeing its potential.

I’m going to keep it. I can always remove it later.
